Work-Ready Program

New at the Huntingdon Adult Education and Community Centre (HAECC) and the NOVA Career Centre


If you are tired of hearing “You don’t have enough experience / You don’t have enough schooling” when applying for jobs…we can help!

The Work-Ready Program is free and combines academics and hands-on work placements, giving you the education, and the employment skills, you need to hit the workforce!

Register for this FREE program, and you will:

  • Meet with one of our counselors one-on-one to map out the courses you need.
  • Select the types of work you are interested in.
  • Get matched up with a local business for the work-placement part of the program.

Successfully complete the program and you will have:

  • Improved job skills and qualifications.
  • A Training Certificate for a Semiskilled Trade (TCST) from Quebec’s Ministry of Education
  • Qualifications for class-two trades throughout Quebec

Breakdown of the Program

450 hours –  English, French, and Math courses

75 Hours –  Introduction to the Workforce course

375 Hours –  Work Placement CLICK HERE for a list of businesses available for work placement


Requirements

You are at least 16 years old.


Cost – FREE!

There is even FREE transportation to the centre that might work for you!
